Lombard Barnard

Lombard joined Fairtree in 2012 and is the Managing Director of Fairtree Invest. He began his career in 1997 as a financial adviser at Sanlam. In 2011, he became a discretionary fund manager, managing portfolios for high-net-worth individuals through his own business. His passion for helping clients understand and engage with the broader investment landscape, where hedge funds and long-only products are integrated into bespoke solutions, led him to join Fairtree. He initially headed up Structured Solutions and now also serves as co-portfolio manager of five bespoke funds. Lombard holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Higher Diploma in Education, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, all from Stellenbosch University. He is also a CFP® professional.
