Ian joined Fairtree in 2010 and is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. He began his career in the fixed income market in 1990 and became a partner at Fergusson Brothers in 1995. Ian then spent six years in the Securities and Treasuries department at Investec, where he deepened his expertise in interest rate and bond markets. From 2001 to 2007, he served as a proprietary trader at Standard Bank, focusing on fixed income and currency products.……

Jacobus joined Fairtree in 2011 and is a Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager & Macro Strategist as well as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. Prior to joining Fairtree, he spent five years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London, where he served as UK Head of Fixed Income and Currency Product Management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch and is a CFA® charterholder.

Paul joined Fairtree in 2013 and is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. He began his career in 1992 at Eskom, where he worked in load research, power system protection, and the Cape distributor for five years. He then transitioned into financial services, working on Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank’s Interest Rate Products desk, specialising in trading and management of interest rate derivatives for two years. Louis joined Fairtree in 2013 and is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. He began his career in 1988 and has held a range of roles across the fixed income space, including fixed income trader at Standard Merchant Bank; proprietary trading roles at HSBC and Brait Merchant Bank; derivative broker at Tullett and Tokyo, South Africa; and fixed income and credit portfolio manager at RMB Asset Management. Dane joined Fairtree in 2015 and is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. He began his career in 2014 as a commodities markets trader at Futures First in India. He later joined Fairtree, where he held roles as an equity trader and a fixed income quantitative analyst before transitioning into portfolio management. Dane holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Cape Town. He……

Keith joined Fairtree in 2013 and is a Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst in the Investment team. He began his career in 2010 as a quantitative analyst at RMB Asset Management, before joining Momentum Alternative Investments, where he continued in a quantitative role following the business acquisition. Keith holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Vision and a Master of Science in Engineering, both from the University of Cape Town.

Graham joined Fairtree in 2016 and is a Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst in the Investment team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics from Rhodes University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science and a Master of Science in Mathematical Finance, both from the University of Cape Town. He also holds a Certificate in Quantitative Finance from the CQF Institute.

Dirk joined Fairtree in 2025 and is a Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst in the Investment team. Prior to joining Fairtree, he held academic and research roles at Stellenbosch University and Leiden University. Dirk holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from Stellenbosch University.
