David Evans

David joined Fairtree in 2021 and is the Managing Director of Fairtree Elevant Ventures. He founded and leads the European venture growth fund and leads investments in exceptional businesses that are transforming their industries through shifting consumer behaviour, emerging channels and disruptive technology. He began his career as a consultant in Bain & Company’s Private Equity Group, before taking on strategic and general management roles at SABMiller and then transitioning to building businesses as an entrepreneur. From 2010 to 2020 David invested in, lead, grew, and exited two businesses in succession (Vovo Telo and BOS Brands), building teams and operations across SA, Europe and the US. He currently serves as chairperson of the Board at TASK and as a board member at maxwell+spark, Kalpana Systems, and NoPalm Ingredients. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD in France.
