Bradley Anthony

Bradley joined Fairtree in 2011 and is a Group Director, providing business leadership to the group in support of the CEO. He also serves as Chairman of the Infrastructure Investment Committee and is a Multi-Strategy Portfolio Manager in the Investment team.

He began his career in banking in 1993 at Cape of Good Hope Bank, where he worked in the Treasury team, contributing to the asset liability management process with a focus on interest rate and liquidity risk. In 2002, he transitioned to asset management, taking on the role of head of Fixed Income at BoE Asset Management. In 2005, he joined Rand Merchant Bank, where he contributed to the development of a fixed income hedge fund strategy. In 2007, he was part of the founding management team of FirstRand Alternative Investment Management, where he was appointed Chief Investment Officer. Following the unbundling of Momentum from the FirstRand group, Bradley led the Investment team at Momentum Alternative Investments in both South Africa and the United Kingdom.

In 2011, Bradley joined Fairtree to support Kobus Nel and André Malan in driving the next phase of the business’s growth. Alongside his multi-strategy portfolio management responsibilities, he has provided leadership across the business, working closely with the CEO and Chairman. He is focused on expanding Fairtree’s presence both locally and globally, with the goal of creating long-term value for clients, employees and other stakeholders. Bradley is passionate about sustaining and strengthening Fairtree’s culture, which is deeply rooted in its mission and values.

Bradley holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Politics, Public Finance and Economic History from the University of Cape Town, a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management, and a Postgraduate certificate in Quantitative Studies from the University of South Africa. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charterholder.
