Fairtree has achieved another milestone as the Fairtree FR Income Plus Fund (“Fund”) has surpassed R20 billion in assets under management.
This achievement highlights the strength of Fairtree’s fixed income capabilities and the growing confidence investors have placed in its disciplined, research-driven investment approach. Managed by Paul Crawford and Louis Antelme, the Fund’s objective is to deliver a high level of income and long-term stability on capital invested by actively seeking opportunities across a diversified range of income-generating assets.
“We are extremely proud of this milestone,” said Paul Crawford, Fairtree Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. “Reaching R20 billion is not only a reflection of our clients’ trust, but also of the consistent performance and risk management focus that underpin our fixed income philosophy. Our goal remains to provide investors with stable, inflation-beating returns through changing market cycles.”
The milestone comes at a time when income funds continue to play an important role in investor portfolios, offering attractive yield opportunities and downside protection amid global economic uncertainty. The Fund’s robust growth also reflects Fairtree’s broader success in managing multi-asset and fixed income solutions that balance risk, return and liquidity.
“This achievement speaks to the dedication of our investment team and our commitment to delivering long-term value for clients,” added Paul Crawford. “We continue to see opportunities in both the local and international fixed income and credit markets, where careful positioning and active management can make a meaningful difference to our investors.”
With a strong track record in managing income-focused portfolios, the Fund provides investors with an actively managed solution designed to meet both income and capital stability objectives.

Performance
Collective Investment Schemes in Securities (CIS) should be considered medium- to long-term investments. The value of a CIS may go up as well as down, and past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance. CISs are traded at the ruling price and may engage in scrip lending and borrowing. A schedule of fees, charges, and maximum commissions is available on request from the Manager. A CIS may be closed to new investors to allow it to be managed more efficiently in accordance with its mandate.
Performance has been calculated using net NAV-to-NAV numbers, with income reinvested. The performance shown for each period reflects the return for investors fully invested for that period. Individual investor returns may differ due to initial fees, the actual investment date, the timing of reinvestments, and dividend withholding tax. Full performance calculations are available from the Manager on request. There is no guarantee of capital or returns in a portfolio. Annualised performance represents the average return per year over the period, rescaled to a one-year period. Actual annual figures and the highest and lowest one-year returns since inception are available on request. NAV (Net Asset Value) represents the assets of the Fund less its liabilities.
