About Deon Botha
Deon joined Fairtree in 2013 and is an Equity Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. He started his career in 2011 in leveraged finance at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG in Germany. After returning to South Africa, he joined Merit Capital, a boutique consulting and corporate advisory firm, as a corporate financial analyst. Deon holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Financial Economics, a Master’s degree in Economics, both from Stellenbosch University, and a Master of Business Administration from the European Business School in Germany.
