About Barry van Blerk
Barry joined Fairtree in January 2025 and is the Group Head of Marketing. He began his career in 1999 at American Express in London, before returning to South Africa to join Barclays Africa’s Retail Banking Division in Johannesburg, where he spent six years. In 2008, he returned to Cape Town and founded his own business. In 2013, he joined Summit Financial Partners as Western Cape Regional Manager, and in 2020, he was appointed Race Director of the Cape Town Marathon. Barry holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Stellenbosch University.
