Paul Crawford

Paul joined Fairtree in 2013 and is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. He began his career in 1992 at Eskom, where he worked in load research, power system protection, and the Cape distributor for five years. He then transitioned into financial services, working on Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank’s Interest Rate Products desk, specialising in trading and management of interest rate derivatives for two years.

In 1999, he entered the asset management industry, first at Gryphon Asset Management then FTNIB before spending five years at RMB Asset Management then moving to Momentum Alternative Investments, where he managed hedge funds and specialised segregated credit and ALM mandates until joining Fairtree. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Cape Town. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
