Ian Millard

Ian joined Fairtree in 2010 and is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the Investment team. He began his career in the fixed income market in 1990 and became a partner at Fergusson Brothers in 1995. Ian then spent six years in the Securities and Treasuries department at Investec, where he deepened his expertise in interest rate and bond markets. From 2001 to 2007, he served as a proprietary trader at Standard Bank, focusing on fixed income and currency products. In 2008, Ian joined Blue Alpha Investment Management, where he co-managed both the Flying Cloud Fixed Income Fund and a Multi-Strategy Fund, before joining Fairtree. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Business Economics from the University of South Africa.
