Andre Malan, MBA

Andre started the Fairtree Capital Market Neutral Fund in 2003. He has ten years of fund management experience and five years as a research analyst prior to that. Andre is Co-Fund Manager of the Fairtree Funds.

Kobus Nel, CA(SA), CFA 

Kobus joined Fairtree in 2006. Prior to that he worked in corporate finance and also completed his auditing articles. Kobus is Co-Fund Manager of the Fairtree Funds.

Flip du Plessis, B Comm 

Flip joined Fairtree in 2010. Prior to this, he managed two Fixed Income funds starting his fund manager experience in 2006. Flip's has nine years of fixed income derivative experience. Flip is currently the Co-Fund Manager for the Fairtree Fixed Income fund.

Ian Millard, B Comm

Ian joined Fairtree in 2010 and is co-managing the Fairtree Fixed Income Fund. Prior to Fairtree, Ian co-managed one fixed income fund and has managed the fixed income strategies within another fund. Before fund management, Ian has had seven years of trading experience in fixed income and forex products and also six years of securities and treasury experience.

Hannes van den Berg, CA(SA), CFA, M. Acc

Hannes joined the Fairtree team in 2008. Prior to that he worked in corporate finance and in line management. Hannes also completed his auditing articles. Hannes is currently the Head of the Trading Desk at Fairtree.

Emmanuel completed his auditing articles prior to joining Fairtree.

Dirk joined Fairtree in 2006 and is instrumental in exploring fundamental model based strategy opportunities in the Fairtree Funds.

Heinrich Jansen van Rensburg, CA(SA), MBA (Cum Laude)

Heinrich joined Fairtree in 2008. Prior to Fairtree, he worked in financial services, in line management for six years and has also completed his auditing articles. Heinrich is the Retail and Financial sectors Analyst in Fairtree.

Madelein Wentzel B Comm LLB, MBA

Prior to joining Fairtree in 2009, Madelein worked in strategy consulting for four years and in corporate srategy for three years. Madelein is the Macro Economic Analyst in Fairtree.

Philip Short B.Sc (Fin Math) Cum Laude, CFA

Philip joined Fairtree in 2009 after he worked in corporate finance for three years and as a management consultant for two years. Philip is the Analyst responsible for Telecommunication, Media, Consumer and Industrial sectors.

Andrew joined Fairtree in 2009 after he worked in production and industrial engineering for six years. Andrew is the Analyst covering all Commodity related sectors in Fairtree.

Allan joined Fairtree in 2009 after he worked at another hedge fund manager for two years. Allan covers the Diversified Industrials and Construction sectors in Fairtree.
